Black and Decker Cultivator
One of the first of its types on the market, the garden cultivator is great home garden tool. It’s lightweight design allows and body to quickly loosen up their garden or flower patch.
My job was to make it look approachable but powerful at the same time.
As you can see, the only design worm needed to done here was to the bottom of the product. The pole and handle was an existing part which we already use on our string trimmers. My job was to design a new housing and tine shape for the bottom of the product.

After a few foam models and some comments from my team members. I pretty much came to the conclusion that my form was a little too hard and rigid for a garden tool.
These models done below were hand made out of foam and then painted in our scheme.
